Ensemble Labyrinthus is a Russian ensemble performing XII-XIV century music. It has been founded in 2010, though its members
have been performing medieval music for a long time.
The ensemble's name is related to medieval labyrints. It is believed that special paraliturgic music has been performed while the procession was walking these labyrinths.

A brilliant mix of authentic mediaeval music and well-chosen contemporary texts (well, mainly contemporary, allowing Shakespeare!). Hope there will be more themed performances like this, as well as Blondel's straight music CDs.

This has become one of my favorite records of all time. I listen to it constantly and it takes me to a great hall with bright colors. Excellent arrangements, instrument choices and performances. The swing, the buzz, the squeal of this wonderful music are on delicious display here
